On the instructions of District Magistrate Shalini Agarwal, the Additional District Magistrate issued a notification amending the earlier relevant notifications under various applicable provisions of the Criminal Procedure Act, National Disaster Management Act and Gujarat Epidemic Diseases Act. It has instructed all the concerned departments, including the Superintendent of Police, Vadodara to implement the amended restrictions with immediate effect.

According to the revised notification, not more than 50 persons can be present in weddings held in any open or closed space in the entire rural areas including the municipalities of the district. The provision of registration remains unchanged, no more than 20 persons may be present at the funeral / burial ceremony in the event of death. No political, religious, social events, receptions, gatherings including birthdays in public is banned.

Public celebrations of all religious festivals coming in April and May will be prohibited and can be celebrated at home with family. Government, semi-government, board and corporation, finance tech related services, cash transaction services, bank clearing, ATM and CDM maintainance, Share Bazaar, share broker, insurance companies and all type of private offices with 50 percent staff will be allowed.

The notification has instructed all the religious places in the district to be closed for public and those associated with them to perform daily worship of such places by the priests and administrators. Devotees have been requested not to go for direct darshan in the religious places.

In this regard, other instructions given earlier by various declarations will remain in force.
Sports can be continued in the district without the presence of spectators in the sports complex / stadiums. Public transport will continue in maximum 50 per cent capacity.

Citizens are instructed to strictly adhere to wear mask, face cover, maintain social distance and other guidelines and precautions. Passengers entering Vadodara district from other states will be subject to the instructions of the Health Department regarding RTPCR test.

This Declaration shall be effective with immediate effect until May 5, 2021 and its violation shall be subject to legal action under the relevant laws.
