Not joining BJP: Sachin Pilot after Congress dismissed him as Rajasthan Dy CM

A day after the Congress announced his discharging him from the post of Rajasthan deputy chief minister and the state party chief Sachin Pilot on Wednesday, 15 July, told news agencies that he “will not join the BJP.”

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Congress in-charge Avinash Pande said that the party has issued notices to Pilot and 18 other party members for not attending the Congress Legislative Party meetings. Failure to respond in two days will lead to cancellation of their CLP membership, he said.

With this, the Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan has been left in a precarious position, with questions being raised over whether it would be able to get the support of enough MLAs to retain its majority.
