Nine Corona positive children discharged after treatment by Pediatrics Department of Gotri Covid hospital

Hospital team see off father son duo after recovery

A separate pediatric treatment unit is functioning under the leadership of Dr. Nimisha Pandya at GMERS Gotri in Vadodara for the treatment of Corona positive children. On Wednesday a 8 year old boy was discharged from the hospital after 10 days of treatment. His father was also discharged from the hospital after recovery from the virus. It’s a satisfactory moment for the staff as they wish the father son duo a good health in future.

The child and his father Sanjay Makwana came here for screening on 18th May and both tested positive of Corona. The child was admitted admitted to the Pediatrics Department and his father was admitted in another ward and treated as per the guideline. As a result, both the father and son were discharged together on Wednesday.

A separate department for pediatric patients has been set up at this Covid Hospital where corona positive children gets treatment under the guidance of Dr. Nimisha Pandya. Assistant Professors Dr. Lalit Nainiwal, Dr. Putun Patel, Dr. Mahesh Kumawat and Dr. Pankaj Gupta, with the help of nursing and assistant staff are giving their services in the the ward. So far a total of 10 pediatric patients from Vadodara and other districts were admitted here for treatment and out of them 9 are discharged and returned home. One pediatric patient could not be saved.
