Security agencies are on maximum alert after gangster Hari Boxer allegedly released an audio message claiming responsibility for fresh death threats against Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty on behalf of the network linked to Lawrence Bishnoi.

Unlike earlier generic threats, the latest message is being treated as extremely serious due to its chilling specificity. The speaker allegedly threatened not to attack the celebrities directly at first, but to target their managers, staff, and even family members, claiming to possess detailed personal information. In a follow-up warning, the gangster mocked Singh for approaching Mumbai Police and claimed that even “seven generations” would not be able to escape the gang’s reach.

The alleged motive appears to be linked to an extortion dispute, with the gang accusing Singh of backing out of a prior “commitment” and warning other Bollywood figures to comply or face consequences.

The situation intensified further after unidentified shooters reportedly fired rounds at Rohit Shetty’s residence on February 8, shattering part of the property’s glass facade. Following the threats, Mumbai Police Crime Branch has launched a major investigation to trace the origin of the audio messages, while security has been significantly increased at Singh’s South Mumbai home and Shetty’s Juhu office.

Hari Boxer is believed to be a key operative in the Bishnoi-linked syndicate, previously claiming responsibility for overseas intimidation incidents and functioning as a spokesperson for the gang’s alleged extortion operations.

The development has triggered anxiety within residential societies and the film industry, especially as Ranveer Singh rides high on the commercial success of his recent blockbuster and prepares for upcoming projects. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, with security arrangements tightened amid fears of further escalation.
