Historic Move: Prime Minister’s office relocates, last cabinet meet at south block tomorrow.

Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will officially relocate to its new premises, ‘Seva Teerth,’ on February 13, marking the end of its decades-long functioning from the historic South Block at Raisina Hill. The Union Cabinet will hold its final meeting at South Block tomorrow, closing a significant chapter in India’s administrative history.

South Block, which has housed the PMO along with key ministries since Independence, has been the centre of major political, economic and security decisions. The move to Seva Teerth is part of the broader Central Vista redevelopment initiative and is aimed at modernising executive infrastructure with advanced digital systems and enhanced security features.

Officials have assured that the transition will be seamless and that government operations will continue without disruption as the PMO begins functioning from its new address.
