Celebrity Devotion: Kohli-Sharma Spend Hour at Ashram, Follow Spiritual Guidance for Life & Cricket”
Cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma visited Premanand Maharaj at Keli Kunj Ashram in Vrindavan on Tuesday morning, February 17, 2026, arriving around 5:30 AM and spending approximately an hour in devotion with folded hands alongside other devotees; this marked their fourth meeting with the saint in the last year.
The couple have previously undertaken multiple spiritual visits, including on December 16, 2025, when they were seen wearing Tulsi Kanthi malas after taking initiation (diksha) from Premanand Maharaj, and May 14, 2025, when they stayed for 2 hours and 20 minutes, seeking blessings and guidance after Virat retired from Test cricket.
During these visits, they engaged in intimate spiritual conversations: Anushka expressed, “Maharaj ji, we are yours and you are ours,” to which Premanand Maharaj responded with a smile, emphasizing joy, dependence on God, humility, and seeing one’s work as service.
He advised that attaining worldly opulence is not grace but merit, while true grace changes inner contemplation and provides the company of saints, guiding the soul through adversity and spiritual growth. On January 10, 2025, Virat sought advice on overcoming failure, and the saint counseled that consistent practice combined with destiny ensures victory, comparing cricket as Virat’s spiritual practice to chanting God’s name as his own, and explaining that joy from their successes spreads happiness across India, forming a spiritual connection with the nation.
Premanand Maharaj stressed patience and inner contemplation during challenges, noting that respect in success is not received in failure and that remembering God during hardships is essential but difficult. Across all these visits, the couple have repeatedly demonstrated devotion, prostrating themselves before the saint, receiving blessings, and seeking guidance for both personal and spiritual growth, making their repeated trips a hallmark of their ongoing spiritual journey in Vrindavan.
