IndiGo Forms High-Level Crisis Management Group as Disruptions Deepen

IndiGo’s Board of Directors set up a high-level Crisis Management Group (CMG) on December 2, 2025—the first day of massive operational disruptions—to tackle widespread cancellations and delays affecting more than 7.75 lakh passengers. The group comprises Chairman Vikram Singh Mehta, board members Gregg Saretsky, Mike Whitaker, Amitabh Kant, and CEO Pieter Elbers. It meets regularly to track operations and review stabilization measures, with other directors joining via teleconference. The CMG was created following an emergency board meeting where management briefed directors on the scale of the crisis.

IndiGo has assured full refunds for cancelled flights and is waiving all rescheduling charges during the disruption period. The airline is also fast-tracking baggage returns and prioritizing operational recovery. Passengers are advised to monitor the IndiGo app or website for real-time updates.
