Balcony Accident in Limbayat, Surat Highlights Dangers of Inadequate Safety Measures at Construction Sites

In a frightening accident in the Limbayat area of Surat, a mother and her young daughter fell from the balcony of an under-construction house named ‘Dhan Dai Mata Prasanna’ after losing balance due to the absence of safety railings.

According to local residents, the duo had gone to the first floor to check on the progress of construction work when the incident occurred. 

CCTV footage from a nearby camera captured the moment, showing the daughter falling first, followed by the mother who tried to hold her but also tumbled from the balcony. Both were quickly assisted by residents who rushed to the site upon hearing the commotion.

The mother and daughter were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed that they suffered only minor injuries and were out of danger. The accident has sparked concerns over inadequate safety measures at under-construction sites, particularly the lack of railings and protective barriers that could prevent such mishaps.
