With changing times our needs are also increasing and we try to find out better solutions to meet them. This is where innovation takes place with new ideas, creative thoughts and new imaginations. Innovation is generally considered as the result of a process that brings together various novel ideas in such a way that they affect the society.

In order to develop innovation it is necessary to engage children at the very young age right from their school. ATAL Tinkering Lab is one such intiative by the government which under the aegis of ATAL INNOVATION MISSION initiated by Niti Aayog to engage students at a young age to spur the spark of creativity and go beyond regular curriculum and textbook learning with the well designed lab activities at ATL.

As part of the start of their new academic year, the Sigma Group of Institutes presented the “Atal Lab” to students’ creativity and imagination through science and technology. The inauguration was done online by Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Education, Gujarat State. On this occasion, she urged the students to adopt an approach of innovation, creativity and experimentation in their ideas. She also congratulated the Chairman of Sigma Group, Harsh Shah for the initiative.

It aims to provide hands on experience to the students to learn the latest technologies and put them into practice with their own ideas. It also helps them to apply the concepts they’ve been learning in books to real life situations. Do it yourself kits, robotics, electronic equipments, sensors, micro controller boards, 3D printers and others are there at the lab to bring out the creativity of students.

The founder of the institute, Shaileshbhai Shah, thanked the government for this initiative and said that all schools and colleges in India are in dire need of such labs. At the opening the students of Yanshi Sharda school talked about the various science experiments they done and present the models.
