NDRF put 35 teams at different locations for cyclone MAHA

In view of cyclone MAHA the NDRF has put their 35 teams in different locations to closely monitor the movements and taking measures to protect lives in coastal and other areas going to be affected. Two of the teams are on standby to assist the others if required.

As cyclone MAHA is expected to hit the Gujarat coast on 6th November the NDRF and other rescue teams are already moving in to the places going to be on the impact line.  NDRF has deployed full equiped rescue teams in Gujarat coastal and some other areas where impacts due to cyclone is expected. The teams moved in yesterday afternoon and even in late night keeping in view of timely stationed at different places decided after the metting of state authority and NDRF Officials.

As per 6BN PRO Deputy Commandant R.K. Mishra, Presently the NDRF teams are deployed in Porbandar, Dwarka, Viraval, Junagadh, Girsomnath, Amreli and Diu territory. Total 35 teams are deployed to response if Cyclone hits the costal areas. All the teams deployment is under supervision of Commandant 6 NDRF.

All Teams are equpped with sufficient No of Boats, Obm, lifeboy, life jackets, cutting equipments, Sufficient no of resource of emergency light and Medical teams. NDRF teams from Other places like Gaziabad, Bhatinda and Pune are also being deployed .

7 BN NDRF teams reached Ahmedabad and enroute to its locations. 8 BN NDRF teams Reached Jamnagar and enroute for its locations. 03 team of 06 BN are enroute to Diu. On Tuesday teams are doing recee of Coastal areas of district and participating in coordination meeting. One team at Surat also conducted awareness program
