Under the aegis of National Cadet Corps Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Diu and Daman, Ahmedabad, NCC Group Headquarter, Law Garden, Ahmedabad is conducting “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (EBSB) camp from 01 Aug to 12 Aug 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi mooted the idea of EBSB during Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31 Oct 2015, to establish cultural exchanges between people of different regions as a means to further human bonding and a common approach to Nation building.

100 Girls and Boys cadets from West Bengal and Sikkim will join 400 Girls and Boys cadets from various regions of Gujarat. During the camp, cadets from both states will showcase the heritage and cultural, customs and traditions of either state to strengthen the fabric of national integration and mutual bonds between the two states through various activities of cultural exchange.

This EBSB will provide an opportunity to the cadets of West Bengal, Sikkim and Gujarat to live together, share views and opinions and participate in a host of sports, cultural, educational and recreational activities. Cadets will also be taken on two days tour to all the places of Historical, Educational and Tourist interest in and around Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

As part of social awareness programme the cadets will be given talks on the aspects of Digital India, Disaster management, Harmful effects of Drugs and Women Empowerment by the dignitaries of various departments of the state.

The camp will create an environment which will promote the spirit of national integration and establish a long lasting bond between the cadets of West Bengal and Sikkim and Gujarat. The camp will conclude with a closing ceremony likely to be graced by Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Education, Gujarat.
