NCC Directorate Gujarat continues its efforts in employing its volunteer cadets in support of Civil Administration towards its fight against Covid-19. On Saturday, a total of 192 volunteer cadets, 30 Permanent Instructors and 18 ANOs deployed in Jamnagar city, East Kutch and Nadiad. They have been mainly employed for traffic management, Queue management and for food distribution. In addition, the cadets have been actively involved in educating the locals on COVID -19 precautions.

Under Rajkot Group, 113 cadets, 9 ANOs, 7 Permanent Instructors and 1 officer underwent orientation training at four places, Rajkot, Gondal Jasdan and Padadhari. These cadets would shortly be deployed at various locations under Rajkot Group. 23 cadets ,12 ANOs and 14 Permanent Instructors underwent training at Bhuj to be deployed at West Kutch area. Medical checkup for few cadets was conducted at VV Nagar. These Cadets would be deployed at Anand and VV Nagar in support of civil administration.

ADG, NCC Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu appreciated the efforts of all the volunteers, ANOs, PI staffs and Commanding officers in providing assistance to Civil Administration. He also brought out that DGNCC at Delhi has also been thoroughly involved in providing necessary support to the Directorate towards the Exercise NCC Yogdan.
