    As part of NCC Ex Yogdan, NCC Directorate Gujarat continues its efforts in employing its volunteer cadets at more locations in support of Civil Administration towards its fight against Covid-19. As on date, a total of 03 Officers, 500 cadets, 35 ANOs and 60 Permanent Instructors of NCC are deployed at various places of Gujarat.

    In Jamnagar 67 volunteer cadets of 8 Guj Naval unit and 27 Guj Bn along with 08 ANOs including 3 lady ANOs, and 11Permanent Instructors were deployed across the city at 18 locations for traffic management  in assistance with the police. Some of these locations of deployment are Samarpan Circle, DKV Circle, Amber Chowkdi, Amusement park, Saat Rasta Circle, Digjam Circle and Khambaliagate.The cadets were seen educating the people on the various precautions to be taken against COVID -19.

    83 volunteer cadets, 03 Permanent Instructors and 06 ANOs were deployed at Nadiad, Vaso, Mehadabad for assisting the Civil Administration. The cadets have been actively involved in traffic control, queue management at banks and ATMs and also for food distribution at various locations. 

    In Palanpur 86 Volunteer cadets, 11 ANO and  06 Permanent Instructors of 35 Gujarat Bn were deployed under Col Amit Purty at 15 locations in the city. The Cadets enthusiastically assisted the local administration in queue management in PDS shops and traffic management.

    12 volunteer cadets, 01 ANO and 02 permanent Instructors of 20 Gujarat Bn of Vadodara group were deployed in support of police at Navsari town. The cadets were deployed at Antalya Chowk, Das Hosp Circle and Amalsad Naka. Cadets were also noticed helping in food distribution. These Cadets have been deployed from 12 Apr 20 onwards.

    52 volunteer Cadets, 05 ANOs and 05 Permanent Instructors of 8 Guj Bn were deployed at Junagadh, Keshod town and Mangrol town. All the cadets were actively involved in supporting police in traffic control and providing assistance to senior citizens.

    In addition to the above locations, NCC cadets were also deployed at Gandhidham, Bhuj, Porbander, Anand, Himmatnagar and Gandhinagar.
