Navratri 2025: The holy festival of Navratri in the month of Aaso begins today (22nd September). During Navratri, devotees worship the Goddess of Power (Shakti) to fulfill the desires of life. A
Worship and devotion have always held significance in human life. Through night-long worships such as Navratri, Shivratri, and Holi, devotees can feel closer to God. Among the four Navratris celebrated in a year, the Aaso Navratri is considered especially important, with Garba dance being one of its unique highlights.
The ritual of Ghata (Kalash) Sthapana also carries a deep symbolic meaning. It is suggested that the Kalash be installed in the morning, at midday during the Abhijit Nakshatra, or in the evening during an auspicious yoga, but never at night.
According to the panchang, the most auspicious time for Ghatasthapana is in the morning between 6:09 AM and 8:06 AM. For those unable to perform the ritual in the early morning, the Abhijit Muhurat from 11:49 AM to 12:38 PM is also considered highly auspicious. Performing Kalash Sthapana during these timings is believed to invoke the divine energy of Goddess Durga, bringing positivity, strength, and the removal of negativity from life.
During worship, devotees follow their family traditions and regional customs. Some believe that reciting special prayers during Rahu Kaal in Navratri brings quicker results, though its true significance should be understood from an experienced scholar.
After Navratri ends, the ritual of removing the Kalash should be performed in the morning during an auspicious time.
