Normal life affected, people shifted to safer areas

The Narmada river in downstream is flooded after the water released from the dam due to heavy inflow of water. Since 2017 the water was released from the dream creating flood like situation in many areas and affected the normal life.

The water released from the Narmada dam results in heavy outflow of water in the river flowing downstream in Bharuch and Narmada district. The mark might touched 24 foot at Bharuch golden bridge as the water is released from the dam. The continuous rains since morning also put the normal life out of gear and low lying areas are waterlogged. Many villages under Bharuch and Narmada districts are badly affected due to the water and the administration issued the advisory for the people to shift to safer places.

After 2013 the Narmada river is once again is the state of flooding and people are reaching at points to see the beautiful sight. Till now in Bharuch 15 buffalos stuck at Lakadia Pul area near Dashashwamegh Ghat and electric poles were grounded on old Diu road at Ankleshwar. People from Safruddin and other villages in Ankleshwar are shifted to safer places and administration is constantly monitoring the situation about the water inflow in the river from Narmada dam. Incharge collector Kshipra Agre said the river touch the danger level at 24 and the administration is working in to shift people to safer places.
