For the first time in the history MSU Baroda is organising first ever University Pravesh Parichay exhibition for the students to guide them about the courses running under various faculties. The two day program aims to admit more students in the courses offered by the university.

The fair will be held at the experimental school ground where the university has put up 30 stalls for the visitors. The first stall will be about the details of MSU followed by 29 other stalls of various faculties showcase the courses they are offering. A stage is also prepared behind every stall for the interaction of students and faculties. The two day fair will start from 28 and ends on the second day at 29th May 2019.

“This is for the first time such exhibition will be organise by the MSU to guide the students about the courses we are offering. There are about 450 plus courses offered by the university and the Pravesh Parichay Exhibition is the perfect place for the students pass their schools and looking for best courses to offer. The aim is to increase the strength of students and also will give preference to the outside students in the admission process, ” said Parimal Vyas VC MSU Baroda.

Vyas said the students strength in the university are increasing every year and they target to reach 50,000 in next five years. This time they will also concentrate on Science faculty to resolve the infrastructure questions and admit more students there. The ratio of female students are more than males in the university and that is encouraging for them.

They are also going to start 10% seats for the EWS students and also try to inculcate outside students in post graduation courses. They are also going to launch self finance executive development program at the P.hd level. Increase in Gross Enrollment Ratio is the target by the university.

On fire safety measures he said the university already issues guidelines to check the fire extinguishers and put in place for use at the time of emergency. Training about using the equipments also will be provided to the staff and students. The university is old and there are many buildings where the entry exit is from one point. They issue instructions to the deans and officials to prepare other ways to be used in case of emergency.
