MSU Baroda finalised to receive ERUSMUS PLUS grant

Among the 8 universities finalised to receive 70,000 Euros for ENPRENDIA project.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is among the 8 Indian Universities which has been finalized to receive the ERUSMUS PLUS grant of nearly 70,000 Euros for the ENPRENDIA project aimed at creating female entrepreneurs for 3 years from 2019 to 2021.

ENPRENDIA shall focus on the aspects like :

1.Promote science and entrepreneurial skills and engage with children and young females.

2. Development of Entrepreneur Research Centers (ERCs) to conduct workshops and trainings.

3. Promote gender equality and gender equity in local communities.

publive-imageErasmus plus is the European Union’s (EU) programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The Erasmus plus is an agency in Brussels catering to higher education and International capacity building and is delegated by the European Commission and represented by Ralph Rahders. The total cost of the project ENPREINDIA project is 9,81,676 Euros, wherein 5 European partners and 8 Indian partners have been selected.

The five European institutes chosen for the project are Glasgow Coledoniun University (GCU), Glasgow, UK, University College of Dublin (UCD), Dublin, Ireland, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) , Sandiago, Spain, Universidad de Lisboa – Instituto Superior Tecnico (UL-IST), Lisbon, Portugal and KinderUniversitätWien (KUW), Vienna University Children’s Office, University of Vienna.

The eight Indian Universities selected for the project ENPREINDIA are, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, MSU, Vadodara, Gujarat, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) (DMIMS (DU), Wardha, Maharashtra, University of Hyderabad (UoH) , Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Amity University of Kolkata (AUK), Kolkata, West Bengal, Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Haryana,

Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar, Punjab, Banasthali Vidyapith (BV), Banasthali, Rajasthan and Edulab Educational Exchange pvt. Ltd. – EDU, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda has a major role in this ENPREINDIA project in terms of training and quality monitoring and evaluation of the entire project. This project the university aims to enhance international cooperation between EU countries. The Indian coordinator agency is the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneshwar represented by Prof Mrutyunjay Suar. Prof Danesh Patel (Director) and Prof Vanisha Nambiar (Deputy Director) of the The Office of International Affairs will be the coordinating partners from MSU, Baroda.
