Various measures have helped control corona infection in the second wave, ambulance given as gift to the village government hospital by donor
In Ankodia village of Vadodara taluka, which is only five km away from Vadodara city, has succeeded in stopping the transition of corona in the true sense.
Ulpeshbhai Patel, Sarpanch of the village with a population of about 4600, says that due to the self-discipline and strict discipline of villagers, they successfully prevent the transmission of corona in first and second wave. Currently there are about five patients with common symptoms of corona in the village who are receiving treatment under home isolation.
He said that under the Maru Gaam Corona mukt Gaam campaign, a 10 bed isolation center has been started in the primary school of the village. Patients who experience common symptoms of corona and who don't have access to isolation facilities at home will be treated at the center free of charge to prevent the spread of infection.
In this center, tea, snacks as well as morning and evening meals have been arranged for the patients with the help of the people. Such patients will be treated through the nearby Koyli Primary Health Center. Proper care of patients will also be taken through the sub-center in the village, he added.
Ulpeshbhai says that in order to create awareness among the villagers about corona, the public address system provides insights on wearing masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently. Apart from this, the village is being monitored by 28 CCTV cameras. If anyone is seen without wearing a mask, they are requested to wear a mask first and in case of violation they are fined by the panchayat.
Masks and sanitizers have been distributed in the village to create awareness among the villagers to avoid corona. Not only this, a Corona Warrior team of youth has also been formed in the village. The villagers are also cooperating and as a result they managed to prevent the transmission in the second wave of corona.
Village leader Ghanshyambhai Patel has donated Rs. 7 lakh ambulance to Koyli Primary Health Center for treatment of patients. Ankodia village has provided a persuasive example of the spread of corona with the help of rural manpower.
