Aims to shift patients to safer place in case of fire emergency

In the present circumstances, regarding the fire incidents in some hospitals in the state during the global epidemic COVID-19, the government and superiors have instructed to organise mock drills to prevent any fire in the COVID hospitals and in case of any accidental fire.

Under this, a mock drill was organised by Vadodara District Police, in which S.O.G. and the team of Karjan Police took part in the rescue efforts at Sumeru covid Center at Karjan. Team of Health Department and Fire Staff also are part of the drill.

As per the drill a message of fire was received from Sumeru covid Center, where corona patients are under treatment and has access to oxygen as well as ventilators. SOG and team of Karjan Police along with team of the Health Department as well as the fire brigade rushed to the spot and firefighters took immediate action to put out the fire. The health team along with police teams evacuated the patients under treatment to safer place.

After the fire was brought under control by the firefighters, the hospital staff and police were given necessary information and training to put out the fire in case of an accidental fire.

All these operations are planned to prevent fires in Covid hospitals and measures to take in case of any accidental fire. During this exercise, all precautions has been maintained to ensure that the covid patients undergoing treatment or staff in the hospital are not hindered in their operations and no harm is done to the participating force.
