Meeting branch and mayor’s office of Vadodara Municipal Corporation locked for four days

Decision taken after 8 employees, including the deputy secretary infected with Corona

The transition of Corona among the officers and employees of Vadodara Municipal Corporation is spreading very fast. As eight employees have tested Covid positive, it has been decided to close the meeting branch office and the mayor’s office for the next four days as part of vigilance.

Officers and employees on duty in various departments of VMC at Khanderao Market, are falling prey to coronavirus. After the report of three employees of meeting branch came positive, five more employees are infected with the virus which spread fear in the branch.

As a precautionary measure, it has been decided to close the office of the meeting branch as well as the office of the mayor where the PA and stenographer are sitting on duty. The office will be closed for the next four days as a precautionary measure and will continue from Monday.

Thus, both the offices will be temporarily closed for four days from Thursday to Sunday and will be functioning as per the routine from Monday.
