Cycling towards Kanyakumari spreading the message of rain water harvesting

Water is a important part in life and plays an important role in the world economy. However with serious negligence we are now eyeing water shortage in most parts specially in India. The ground water level is slowly dried up and major cities are facing water shortage and request water trains for their needs. In such situation we have to turn our attention to rain water harvesting to save water.

A youth from Manipur Philem Rohan Singh is cycling towards Kanyakumari spreading the message to save water for the future generations. He started from Kashmir with #waterforlife campaign and reach out to people telling them about the importance of saving water and concentrate on rain water harvesting.

Rohan Singh started on 13 June 2019 and reached Vadodara covered nearly 10,000 kms on to his journey to save water. The campaign is to sensitise people about the necessity of water.

“I am cycling with #waterforlife campaign and spreading the message about the water scarcity in the country. The ground water level is almost dried up and most of the big cities are facing the scarcity with many more to follow in coming months. The need of the hour is to teach people about the importance of rain water harvesting and segregation of rain water in the country. I meet people, students and sensitise them towards saving water for the coming generations, ” said Singh.

He earlier rode under themes like pollution free India, Unity in diversity Save Sangai and Humanity and tribute ride for Pulwama attack victims and raise funds.
