Champions of the Cooch-Behar Trophy, U-19 Baroda Cricket Team, extended the winning celebrations by a magnanimous gesture of sharing a part of their prize money with the ground staff. It is to pay respect to people who support them by working hard behind the curtains for uninterrupted training of the team.

Lead by Coach Ajit Bhoite, the Baroda Team won the tournament in February 2020. This upstanding moment occurred on 12th November, at FB Ground, Alembic, in the presence of CEO, Baroda Cricket Association Shishir Hattangadi. He congratulated the coach and team for such a noble gesture.

“You became champions when you won, but today you have mirrored what champions ought to be off the field”, said CEO while appreciating their thoughtfulness. He also emphasized playing hard and competitive but within the rules of the game and to encourage each other, in good times and bad, in team sport.
