    Lalji Tandon, cabinet minister and governor of Madhya Pradesh died at the age of 85. He was seriously ill for a few days and breathed his last during treatment. Lalji Tandon’s son and cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government Ashutosh Tandon has confirmed his father’s death on Twitter.

    Lalji Tandon was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow for about a month. He had been hospitalized since June 12 and breathed his last at 5:30 on Tuesday morning.

    His condition was very serious yesterday evening and doctors was trying to save him by keeping him on a ventilator. After Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Tandon was elected MP from Lucknow seat.
