Luxury bus with students stuck in water at Padra

A luxury bus got stuck in water after Padra received 1.5 inch rains on Monday. The locals took the help of tractor to rescue the bus and 28 students sitting inside.

With good rain fall reported in last 24 hours many areas in Padra was waterlogged and put the routine life out of gear. Meanwhile a private luxury bus with 28 students from 1^st to 8^th got stuck in waters on the road at Bhoj village. The bus is new and was on its first journey when it stuck inside the water and broke down.

After the incident the locals rushed to the spot and rescued the bus and the students with the help of tractor. Bhoj sarpanch Iqbalbhai said the roads at Ranu and Bhoj needs urgent attention but the administration is not listening to their repeated representations. The water entered in the fields and channels nearby and traffic is also affected in monsson season after heavy rainfall reported in the region.

Waterlogging also reported in Karjan area and two temporary houses were damaged in the rains. The water also entered inside the fields and on roads which disrupt the traffic badly in the area.
