Live Webinar on Role of Forensic DNA in fighting crime and expediting justice

In the time of COVID-19 pandemic, when social distancing is inevitable, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar and Ogilvy India is jointly organizing  live webinar on “ROLE OF FORENSIC DNA IN FIGHTING CRIME AND EXPEDITING JUSTICE” on 1st June 2020 at 4.00 pm.

The key objective of this webinar is to provide a common platform for different stakeholder of criminal justice delivery system to discussion how Indian courts are increasingly turning to DNA forensics to ensure swift justice in cases involving rape.

The 90-minute program will consist of two key components:

1)  Training Session: Interactive presentation on ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ for collection, handling, and testing of DNA evidence to be followed by first-line-responders.

2) Panel Discussion: Discussion on the importance of DNA forensics in strengthening India’s criminal justice system to deter the incidence of rape and sexual violence in India
