The second wave of covid forced the railways to cancel many trains, including the premium ones. Now as the cases declined the train services are restored for the convenience of passengers.

Western Railway has decided to restore Train No. 82901/82902 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Tejas Express w.e.f. 7th August, 2021. According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the train will run four days a week.

Train No. 82901 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Tejas Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 15.45 hrs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday and reach Ahmedabad at 22.05 hrs, the same day. Similarly, Train No. 82902 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Tejas Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 06.40 hrs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday and arrive Mumbai Central at 13.05 hrs, the same day.

Enroute this train will halt at Andheri, Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara and Nadiad stations in both directions. The halt at Andheri station has been permitted only on temporary basis till 31st October, 2021. The train comprises of AC Chair Car & AC Executive Chair Car coaches.

The train will run as fully reserved train and the booking of this train is open only on IRCTC website. Additionally, Current Reservation Counters/Kiosks shall also be set up by IRCTC at Ahmedabad, Surat & Mumbai Central railway stations for passengers convenience of last minute travel plans. It is worth mentioning that only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board the special train. Railways request the passengers to adhere to all norms, SOPs related to COVID-19 during boarding, travelling and at the destination.
