Vistara Airlines has cautioned its travelers to plan ahead due to anticipated heavy traffic congestion and slow-moving vehicles en route to Varanasi airport on Tuesday.
In a statement, Vistara advised travellers to allocate extra time for their journey to the airport.
The reason behind issuing the advisory is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in Varanasi as he is set to file his nomination for this Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday.

Serving as the incumbent MP and the BJP’s candidate, PM Modi is set to submit his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 general elections.
His consistent victories by substantial margins in the last two terms underscore his stronghold in the constituency.
Varanasi goes in for polling on June 1 in the seventh and last phase of the general elections.
Preceding his nomination filing, PM Modi led an elaborate roadshow covering a five-kilometer stretch on Monday.
Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP state president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, PM Modi was greeted with resounding ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Jai Shree Ram’ chants as a large crowd of supporters and residents gathered along the road to cheer him on.
