Uttarakhand: Tempo traveller with 17 passengers falls in gorge on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway

Around eight people were killed after a tempo traveller, with about 17 passengers onboard, fell into a deep gorge on the Rishikesh- Badrinath highway in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag on Saturday, news agencies reported.

Rescue work is being carried out by the State Disaster Response Force and police teams, sources reported.

So far, two injured have been sent to a hospital by the teams through an ambulance, it added.
