Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the country’s largest hotel company, on Tuesday announced that its “iconic brand" Taj has once again been named the world’s strongest hotel brand by Brand Finance.

The world’s leading brand valuation consultancy’s annual Hotels 50 2024 report recognises the most valuable and strongest hotel brands globally.

With a 45 per cent increase in brand value to $545 million (Rs 45,53,17,52,500), Taj has become the world’s strongest hotel brand, according to Brand Finance’s Hotel 50 2024 report.

Its improved Brand Strength Index (BSI) of 92.9 out of 100 points earned it a AAA+ rating, the highest brand strength rating awarded by Brand Finance.

Taj Hotels is a chain of luxury hotels and a subsidiary of the Indian Hotels Company Limited, headquartered in Mumbai, India. The company was founded in 1902 by Jamsetji Tata and is part of the Tata Group. The company employed over 20,000 people in 2010.
