This innovative initiative eliminates the need for lengthy application processes and facilitates a smoother travel experience for Indian citizens.

Indian passport holders can take advantage of this streamlined visa program if they possess a valid US visa, US Green Card, EU Residency permit, or UK Residency visa, all with a minimum validity of six months from the intended travel date.

The application process itself has been meticulously designed for ease and accessibility.

Applicants can apply online through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website.

The user-friendly interface guides applicants through the process, requiring them to submit personal details, passport information, and intended travel plans.

Following this, a nominal application fee of approximately 253 Dirhams can be conveniently paid online using a credit or debit card.

Once the application is submitted, applicants can expect a processing time of approximately 48 hours.

Timely email notifications will keep them informed of the application status, ensuring a seamless and transparent experience.

To ensure a smooth application process, applicants are advised to have the following documents readily available:

A valid passport with a minimum validity of six months beyond the intended travel date.

Travel documents such as confirmed flight tickets and hotel bookings.

A permanent residence card from the US or UK (if applicable).

A recent passport-sized photograph.

For those seeking to extend their stay in Dubai beyond the initial 14 days, a single 14-day extension can be applied for upon arrival in Dubai.

This extension process requires a visit to the GDRFA office within Dubai and submission of the necessary documentation.

Additionally, for Indian travellers flying with Emirates, a further streamlined option exists. Emirates has partnered with VFS Global to offer an exclusive pre-approved visa-on-arrival service specifically for their passengers.

This Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC) initiative provides a stress-free 14-day single-entry visa, allowing passengers to bypass regular visa queues upon arrival in Dubai.

Travellers flying with Emirates can book their flight, apply for the pre-approved visa through the Emirates website or by contacting VFS Global, receive confirmation upon approval, and simply bypass regular visa queues upon arrival in Dubai.
