If reports are to go by, around INR 5,000 crore has been set aside by the government to manage the enormous influx of pilgrims and upgrade railway infrastructure.

Also, to facilitate smooth travel during this important event, Union Minister Jitendra Singh ordered the creation of special train services, including three Katra-Prayagraj trains.

The railways have prioritised expanding train services and upgrading station amenities.

To manage the significant passenger influx, over 13,000 trains, including 3,000 special trains, will be operational. Reports indicate that major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Bihar, and Jharkhand will be linked to Prayagraj through these services.

Additionally, to enhance passenger safety and comfort, new measures have been implemented, including the installation of 1,146 CCTV cameras at stations and improved sanitation facilities.
