Owing to the bad weather, several flights at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport were affected on Monday morning.
In a statement, the Delhi airport said, "Due to bad weather, flight operations at Delhi Airport are affected. Passengers are requested to get in touch with the airline concerned for updated flight information."
As per latest update by the Delhi Airport website, over 40 departure flights delayed due to bad weather and other related issues.
Around 18 arrival flights to Delhi airport delayed due to bad weather and other related issues as of now. Two flights cancelled.
Meanwhile, Delhi Airport sources stated that due to weather conditions in Delhi-NCR, several flights have been diverted to Jaipur and other airports.
Hundreds of passengers are stranded, with all the early morning flights departing from Delhi being rescheduled as the weather is unfavourable, added sources.
Notably, Delhi-NCR woke up to a pleasant rainy morning today a gratifying sight that brought respite from the blisteringly hot days.
Water-logging and traffic congestion are expected in many areas of Delhi-NCR as trees were uprooted in some regions due to the impact of strong winds.
