Delhi has emerged as the top city for international summer travel, according to Cleartrip’s Nation on Vacation campaign.
The capital accounted for 8 per cent of all international bookings, with a 20 per cent higher share of round-trip journeys than the national average.
Travellers from Delhi also redeemed 5 per cent more SuperCoins, highlighting a growing trend towards smart, value-led holiday planning.
Cleartrip, the Flipkart-owned travel platform, has identified Delhi as the frontrunner for international departures this summer.
As per findings from its Nation on Vacation (NoVac) campaign, 8 per cent of all overseas bookings were made by Delhi-based travellers, the highest share across Indian metropolitan cities.
Popular choices included Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, with Australia standing out as the preferred long-haul destination for holidaymakers departing from the capital.
A notable trend in the data revealed that round-trip bookings from Delhi were 20 per cent higher than the national average — suggesting more structured and budget-conscious planning by travellers from the city.
Additionally, Cleartrip recorded a 5 per cent higher redemption of SuperCoins by Delhiites compared to users from other regions, indicating a preference for strategic savings while planning holidays.
With a combination of curated offers and a user-friendly platform, Cleartrip’s approach has helped make international travel planning more accessible for Delhi residents, allowing them to embrace the season with greater ease and savings.
