It has a tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaves, along with some urad and moong dal.

INGREDIENTS OF QUINOA UPMA
4 Servings
1 cup quinoa
1 large chopped onion
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 dry red chili
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
2 stalks curry leaves
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon urad dal
1 teaspoon yellow moong dal
1/2 cup chopped carrot
1/3 cup frozen peas
salt as required
2 cup water
1 chopped capsicum (green pepper)
1/4 cup chopped green beans
HOW TO MAKE QUINOA UPMA
Step 1 / 5 Rinse Quinoa
Put quinoa in a strainer and rinse it thoroughly under running water.
Step 2 / 5 Heat Oil In A Pan
Now heat oil in a pan. Add cumin and mustard seeds. Let them splutter for a minute. Now add asafoetida, moong dal and urad dal. Stir and let them saute for a few minutes. Add chopped ginger and dry red chilli and mix.
Step 3 / 5 Add Veggies
Now add chopped onions and curry leaves. Stir on low flame for a few minutes. Now add carrots, capsicum, peas and green beans. Add salt as per taste and mix.
Step 4 / 5 Add Quinoa
Now add quinia, mix well and let it cook for 2 minutes. Then add water and mix well. Cover the lid and let it cook for a few minutes. Now stir it and let it cook till the water gets absorbed and the quinoa grains turn translucent.
