To prepare this recipe, you just need quinoa, onion, capsicum, carrot, cabbage, besan and a handful of easily-available spices.

Not everyone might like the usual quinoa-based dishes, so here is an off-beat recipe you can try with quinoa grain.

You can add veggies of your choice to make the cutlets even healthier.

Usually, kids are fussy eaters and throw a lot of tantrums while eating veggies. This cutlet recipe can be given to your kids in tiffin and they will happily eat the veggie-loaded meal. 

Be it kids or adults, everyone will love this fusion recipe. You can prepare Quinoa Cutlets for breakfast, lunch, snacks or even dinner.

It takes less than 30 minutes to make this wholesome snack which is both, filling and nutritious. Serve the cutlets with mint chutney, ketchup or any other dip of your choice. 

INGREDIENTS OF QUINOA CUTLET:

 1 cup quinoa

1 cup onion

1/2 capsicum (green pepper)

1/2 carrot

1/4 cup shredded cabbage

3 tablespoon gram flour (besan)

1 teaspoon red chilli powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon dry mango powder

salt as required

Step 1 / 4 Soak And Grind The Quinoa

Soak the quinoa for 30 minutes. Now wash it properly and add it to blender and blend to form a thick paste. Add 1-2 tbsp water, if needed.

Step 2 / 4 Make Mixture

Take out the quinoa paste to a bowl. Add finely chopped onion, capsicum, carrot, cabbage and coriander leaves. Add besan, salt, coriander powder, dry mango powder and red chilli powder. Give a nice mix to form a thick mixture.

Step 3 / 4 Make Cutlets

Now drizzle a tbsp of oil on a non-stick pan and let it heat. Make small tikkis from the mixture and place them in the pan. Cook from both sides until golden brown in colour.

Step 4 / 4 Ready To Be Served

Once all the cutlets are cooked, serve them with a dip of your choice.
