For those who love pasta, this super easy dish is a saviour. Prepared in less than 30 minutes with just a handful of ingredients, Pasta Belle Roma is packed with flavours of onion, garlic, cherry tomatoes, leek, celery and basil.
For pasta, we have used the fusilli variety here, however, you can use pasta of your choice like penne, macaroni and even spaghetti. To add more flavour to the pasta and make it richer, you can add grated cheese as well before serving. If you have kids at home, then you need to try this recipe for sure, as they will relish it like anything. You can make this recipe for parties and game nights, and everyone will love it for sure.
Ingredients of Pasta Belle Roma
2 Servings
200 gm pasta fusili
50 gm onion
20 gm leek
20 gm basil
salt as required
5 cherry tomatoes
1 cup tomato ketchup
20 gm garlic
20 gm celery
powdered black pepper as required
30 ml virgin olive oil
Step 1 Boil the pasta
Boil water in a pot. Add 1/2 tbsp salt and add the pasta to it. Boil the pasta for 10-12 minutes. Once cooked, drain all the excess water and pour cold water on the pasta to stop the cooking process. Collect the cooked pasta in a colander.
Step 2 Saute the ingredients
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, garlic, leeks and celery. Saute the ingredients for a minute.
Step 3 Add other ingredients
Add tomato sauce to the pan. Now add fresh basil leaves along with cherry tomatoes, cut in halves. Also add salt and black pepper powder at this step. Give a mix.
Step 4 Add pasta and cook
Now add boiled pasta to the pan and give a good mix. Cook for two minutes more and switch off the flame.
Step 5 Ready to be served
Your Pasta Belle Roma is now ready to be served. Garnish with cheese (optional) and enjoy!
