Makhan Mishri is synonymous with Lord Krishna, which is why it is prepared for the festival of Janmashtami as a bhog.

Janmashtami is an auspicious occasion of India that is celebrated all over the country.

Idols of Lord Krishna is donned in new clothes and bhog is offered to Him. After the bhog, it is offered as a prasad among everyone.

To prepare this bhog recipe, all you need is two main ingredients- ghee and mishri.

Many people also prepare makhan mishri with malai, but for that, you need to collect malai for 4-5 days to have enough malai for the preparation. This recipe will make instant Makhan Mishri that you can prepare with easily available ingredients.

So, celebrate the auspicious occasion of Janmasthami by preparing Lord Krishna's all-time favourite food.


2 Servings

1/2 cup ghee

4 tablespoon mishri

6 ice cubes

2 leaves mint leaves


Step 1 / 2 Preparation

Add ice cubes to a bowl. Now add ghee to the bowl and use a whisker to quickly whisk it. Within a minute of whisking, you will notice that makhan will start forming.

Keep whisking for a few minutes to prepare a smooth mixture. Once makhan is formed, take out the ice cubes from the bowl. Now add mishri to the bowl and again mix well.

Step 2 / 2 Serve

Take out the Makhan Mishri in a serving bowl and garnish with two mint leaves. Your Makhan Mishri Bhog is now ready.
