Gingerbread is an easy-to-make bread recipe which is baked and flavored with ginger. It makes for a lovely homemade Christmas present especially for children. It can be used as a side-dish. This recipe can be made on festivals and special occasions like Christmas.
Ingredients of Gingerbread

210 gm all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 Fl ounce golden syrup
1 teaspoon baking powder
100 gm brown sugar
4 ounce butter
1/2 teaspoon ground clove
How to make Gingerbread
Step 1
Put butter, sugar and golden syrup in a pan and heat till the butter melts.
Step 2
Put the dry ingredients in a bowl and pour melted butter mixture on it. Beat it thoroughly.
Step 3
Warm the milk in a pan. This will dissolve the golden syrup. Add the milk to a bowl, and beat it thoroughly. Beat the eggs, and then stir them into the mixture.
Step 4
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Blend into the creamy mixture. Stir it in hot water and pour it in the pan.
Step 5
Bake at 325 degree Fahrenheit for an hour.
Step 6
Cool it for 15 minutes and then remove. You can leave it for a day before cutting into pieces.
