This easy salad recipe can be made in minutes and can be packed in tiffin as well.

This is such an easy recipe that it requires no cooking at all, if you have leftover pita bread.

However, a little toasting is required when you are using fresh pita bread. Try this quick recipe that can be made in just 15 minutes.

4 Servings

1 large onion

2 large tomato

4 medium cucumber

1/4 bunch mint leaves

1 bunch watercress

1/2 bunch parsley

10 red lettuce

5 radish

1 toasted pita bread

sumac as required

For Dressing

2 cloves garlic

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoon red wine vinegar

5 tablespoon virgin olive oil

To prepare this yummy salad recipe, peel the onion and finely slice it in a bowl. Now, wash tomato, mint leaves, watercress, parsley, red lettuce in running water. Then, dice the tomato in another bowl and shred & finely chop the remaining ingredients separately. Next, peel the radish and cucumber and dice them as well in separately. Finally peel the garlic cloves and crush them using a pestle and mortar.

Take a large bowl and mix together the diced onions with a little sumac (1 teaspoon). Next, add all the other diced vegetables in the bowl and mix them well.

Tore the toasted pita bread into half and crumble it in the same bowl of veggies.

Now, take a small bowl and mix together red wine vinegar, salt, garlic and virgin olive oil to prepare the dressing.

Pour this dressing over the salad and garnish with the remaining bread. Make sure you crumble the bread. Serve fresh.
