Crowned as the best comfort food, dumplings are loved by everyone worldwide and these colorful dumplings are specially made for the food and pacman enthusiasts.

Usually dumplings are very versatile when it comes to it's shape and size but what makes it a little different from other dumplings is the pacman shape factor.

Bring together the goodness of colors and flavors of these delicious dumplings and serve them to your guests as the starters and give a good treat to their taste buds that is going to satisfy their hunger.

INGREDIENTS OF COLORFUL DUMPLINGS

2 Servings

50 gm water chestnut

200 gm broccoli

100 gm carrot

100 gm bok choy

salt as required

15 gm msg

2 gm white pepper powder

2 teaspoon sesame oil

2 tablespoon orange juice

3 pieces beetroot

1 teaspoon edible food color

200 gm wheat flour

325 gm starch

HOW TO MAKE COLORFUL DUMPLINGS

Step 1 / 3

Blanch together water chestnut, broccoli, carrot, bok choy, salt as per your needs, MSG and white pepper powder to give them a crispy feel and saute them for minimum two minutes. Add potato starch to it and finish off by dribbling some sesame oil.

Step 2 / 3

Make the dough by combining potato starch flour and wheat flour. Keep it on the side and meanwhile, in a grinder, grind the beetroot slices into a juice.

Now in a separate medium sized bowl, mix the beetroot and the orange juice together which will give us a Maroonish shade.

Dip this massive dough ball into the juice and let it soak for 5-10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, take it out from the bowl and cut small dough balls out of it and shape them as pacman characters filled with the paste formed at the very first step.

Now steam these dim sums by boiling water in a large vessel over medium flame. Once the water starts boiling, add these pacman shaped dim sums one by one inside it. Close the vessel with the help of a lid for a minimum ten minutes. Serve hot.
