You can have this roll for lunch when you don't feel like having anything grand. It is a nutritious and filling recipe at the same time that will woo your taste buds.

Here we have added onion, tomato, capsicum, however, you can also add some finely sliced carrot or cabbage to it. 

If you like things cheesy, then add some cheese slice or a grated cheese cube to it. You can also add sauces as per your taste to make the roll creamier, like mayonnaise, chipotle or schezwan sauce.

INGREDIENTS OF CHOLE ROLL

1 Serving

1/4 cup boiled chick peas

1 roomali rotis

1 ml tomato ketchup

1 gm green chutney

2 tablespoon onion

2 tablespoon tomato

2 tablespoon capsicum (green pepper)

salt as required

1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder

1/4 teaspoon coriander powder

2 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon asafoetida

1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds

HOW TO MAKE CHOLE ROLL

Step 1 / 2 Prepare The Stuffing

Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds. Let them splutter for a minute. Now add chopped onion and saute for a minute.

Now add tomato, salt, dry mango powder, coriander powder and mix well.

Let the masala cook for 2 minutes. Lastly, add capsicum and cook for another minute.

Now add boiled chickpeas, along with 2-4 tbsp of water. Mx well and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 2 / 2 Prepare The Roll

Place the roomali roti on a plate. Spread tomato ketchup and mint chutney on the roti. Add the prepared masala to the roti. Roll the roti into a roll and serve.
