Butterfly Pea Tea is an aesthetic-looking tea with a beautiful shade of blue. It is prepared with Butterfly Pea flowers, also called Aparjita in Hindi. 

These flowers are blue in colour, which gives the tea its bluish hue. 

To prepare this tea, you just need a handful of ingredients like- Aparjita flowers, water, honey, lemon juice and ginger. Blue Tea provides a lot of benefits.

Right from improving eye health and strengthening the heart to providing a good dose of antioxidants, Aparjta Tea can also control blood sugar levels, if had between meals. 

This tea is a zero-caffeine product, which amps up its health quotient. Butterfly Pea Tea also lowers stress levels, combats premature hair loss and even has anti-ageing properties.

We have added some grated ginger, lemon and honey to the tea, which brings out its flavours in a better way.

You can add cinnamon, cardamom or clove while boiling the tea to give it a spicy touch.

Butterfly Pea tea has no harmful effects as such, but pregnant women and people with allergies must be cautious while drinking it and must always consult a doctor/dietician first.

Ingredients:

6 edible flowers

1 1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 inch ginger

1 teaspoon honey

HOW TO MAKE BUTTERFLY PEA TEA

Step 1 / 3 Boil The Water

Add water to a cup along with grated ginger. Keep it on medium flame and let it heat up. Now add Butterfly Pea flowers or Aparjita flowers to it.

Step 2 / 3 Let The Tea Simmer

Keep the flame medium and let the tea simmer for five minutes.

Step 3 / 3 Strain And Serve

Now strain the tea into a cup. Add lemon juice, honey, give a nice mix and serve.
