Use bananas to whip up this tasty and healthy recipe that would be loved by both kids and adults. You just need to blend bananas with milk to form a paste. Then mix in flour to make a batter.

We have used wheat flour batter in the recipe, however, you can use ragi flour, jowar flour, kuttu flour etc in the recipe. For the sweetness, we have added honey, which complements the taste of bananas in the perfect manner. 

You can use sugar, jaggery or any other sweetener of your choice. 

Add a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon to the batter, if it suits your taste. You can serve this dish with chopped bananas, berries or any other fruit on the side. 

Enjoy this cheela recipe for breakfast, dinner or just as a snack. If your kids throw a tantrum while eating bananas, then this recipe is the perfect way to feed them this fruit. 

To make the recipe more interesting, add a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top of the Banana Cheelas while serving them. 

Tip- Spread 1 tbsp peanut butter before serving the cheela to make it protein-packed. 

INGREDIENTS OF BANANA CHEELA

4 Servings

2 banana

1/2 cup milk

wheat flour as required

2 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon ghee

HOW TO MAKE BANANA CHEELA

Step 1 / 4 Blend The Bananas

Add bananas to a blender. Now add milk to it and blend well to form a smooth paste.

Step 2 / 4 Make A Batter

Pour the paste into a bowl and mix honey in it. Now add wheat flour to the paste in batches and whisk well. Add wheat flour as per need to prepare a batter of medium consistency.

Step 3 / 4 Make Cheelas

Take a non-stick pan. Grease it with some ghee and pour a ladleful of batter on the tawa and spread it in circular motions to make a thin cheela. Cook from both sides until golden brown in colour.

Step 4 / 4 Ready To Be Served

Serve the cheela with chopped bananas and honey drizzle. Enjoy!
