Taraka Ratna suffers from heart attack after fainting in padayatra

Taraka Ratna, who was recently seen in S5 No Exit, fainted on Friday while on a padayatra with his cousin, politician Nara Lokesh, in the Chittoor district.

While being rushed to the Kuppam hospital and receiving immediate medical attention, the actor suffered a massive heart attack, according to his uncle, actor Balakrishna.

The incident occurred shortly after Lokesh began his 4,000-kilometre-long padayatra when there was a stampede-like situation outside a mosque he visited.

Following Lokesh's exit from the temple, a large number of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers surged forward. During the melee, the actor collapsed and fainted.

Taraka Ratna made his debut in the film Okato Number Kurradu in 2002. And he has appeared in a number of films and web series and is said to be interested in running for the Assembly elections next year.
