Over 2.86 lakh new Covid-19 cases reported in India, with a positive rate of 19.59 percent

According to data issued by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, India registered 2,86,384 new Covid-19 cases and 572 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 4,91,700. (January 27, 2022). There are 22,02,472 active instances.
In the last 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 20,546 cases. There were also 3,06,357 people in the country.
Active cases account for 5.46 percent of all infections, with a national recovery rate of 93.33 percent for Covid-19.
According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 19.59 percent on Thursday, up from 16.10 percent on Wednesday, while the weekly positivity rate was 17.75 percent.
Furthermore, the total number of doses provided in the country as part of the statewide Covid-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 163.84 crore.
