Under the guidelines of the state health department, Vadodara district health system conducted three rounds of mosquito control campaign under the instructions of the district development officer and guidance of chief district health officer. With timely diagnosis and early treatment for the control of vector-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria and chikunguniya, extensive anti-depressant operations have been undertaken, with visits to every home and in particular finding and locating potential mosquito breeding grounds.

During the survey, mosquito breeding grounds were found in about 32296 houses and people were guided to prevent the possibility of mosquito breeding. This extensive work has been done covering a population of more than 15 lakh and more than 3 lakh households. Under it, more than 56,000 mosquito breeding grounds were made safe by inspecting containers used to fill more than 41.11 lakh liters of water.

Along with this, blood samples of 15920 people were tested for laboratory tests in cases of fever found during house check. The district has 375 positive cases of dengue, 171 positive cases of chikunguniya and 27 positive cases of malaria. The district health department has urged the people to take necessary precautionary measures to stop the breeding of mosquitoes.
