4 new Covid cases in Ahmedabad, 11 in Gujarat

New Covid cases maintained the average of 11 to 15 with 11 cases being recorded in Gujarat on Friday.

Ahmedabad city registered four new cases, followed by three in Vadodara city, two in Vadodara district, and one each in Banaskantha and Gandhinagar districts.

With the discharge of seven patients, active cases in Ahmedabad reached 47 whereas active cases in Gujarat remained at 97 with the discharge of 11 patients.

None of the active cases needed a ventilator. With the update, the number of districts with zero active case reached 21 of the 33 districts. Only Ahmedabad and Vadodara have more than 10 active cases.

No fresh death linked to the infection was reported in the state, the health department said.

The death toll remained unchanged at 10,943. Gujarat in 24 hours administered 88,648 Covid vaccination doses, taking the total to 10.71 crore.

The number included 10,167 booster doses and 49,583 second doses to the 12-14 years age group.
