This strategic acquisition signifies an important move for WHP Global’s expansion into the European market, including plans to establish a new office in Amsterdam.

This accomplishment follows the initial agreement inked several months ago by WHP Global to acquire a majority stake in G-Star RAW.

Under the terms of the transaction, the original owners will retain a minority interest in G-Star RAW. The current G-Star RAW leadership, led by CEO Rob Schilder, will continue to oversee the brand’s comprehensive omni-channel operations from its Amsterdam headquarters.

Although specific financial details remain undisclosed, this acquisition stands as the third successful venture for WHP Global in 2023.

With this acquisition, WHP Global’s portfolio now encompasses more than ten consumer brands, collectively generating over US $ 7 billion in global retail sales.

In a separate development, WHP Global, already the proprietor of the Lotto brand, has entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Fashioncenter, a subsidiary of the Schmidt Group based in Norderstedt.

This strategic alliance aims to amplify Lotto’s existing presence in Central Europe within the lifestyle and fashion sector.

Fashioncenter, entrusted with the Kappa brand license for 25 years, will assume responsibility for the product development and distribution of Lotto’s lifestyle footwear and sports fashion apparel in Germany and Poland. Working in close collaboration with Lotto Sport Italia (LSI), responsible for Lotto’s core performance categories across Europe and key markets, Fashioncenter will introduce apparel and footwear collections under the banner “Lotto Life’s,” fusing lifestyle and active segments to offer retailers an array of products for both sports and leisure, contributing in a major profit surge for WHP Global.
