Over the next 12 days, 21 films will vie for the festival's prestigious top award, the Palme d'Or, while a handful of high-profile Hollywood titles  including Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis and Three Thousand Years of Longing will also launch in Cannes.

This year, India will be the official Country of Honour, a status that ensures the country's presence as Focus Country at the Opening Night of 'Marche du Film' with the spotlight on India, its cinema, its culture and heritage.

A host of Indian celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Urvashi Rautela, Richa Chadha, R Madhavan, Nawauzuddin Siddiqui and many others are also expected to put their best fashion foot forward as they attend the grand event.
