Vadodara city’s leading Indraprastha Youth Association has recently been awarded a letter of appreciation on World Blood Donor Day for accelerating blood donation activity during the current Covid crisis. This letter of honor has been given by Gujarat State Council for Blood Transfusion.

It is to be mentioned that at a time when it was not possible to conduct blood donation camps during lockdown situation, the members of the youth group donate blood while maintaining social distancing. They went to the mobile blood bank units and donate blood to help in maintained the blood supply in such challenging situation.

Describing the inspiring and encouraging approach of the group, the Director of GSCBT, Dr. Rajesh Gopal has applauded in the letter of appreciation. Indraprastha Yuvak Mandal conducts various social reforming activities including enviornment friendly Ganeshotsav celebration and many others. Its leader Tarang Shah has thanked the organization for this appreciation and pledge to continue such initiatives in future.

“Since the start of lockdown due to the spread of Coronavirus epidemic in the city we introduced the concept of sanitisation of residential building and since then we regularly senitise our building twice in a week. We also installed senitiser booths at important places in the city to help people sensitise their hands regularly to contain the virus,” said Tarang Shah.
